Bright, Floral and Made Just for You

The Chada Straw Personalised Bag brings playful colour, handcrafted charm, and one-of-a-kind style into a design that celebrates individuality. This fan-shaped tote is handwoven from natural straw and adorned with embroidered flowers, decorative trim, and custom name stitching. It’s a cheerful, heartfelt piece that combines Thai craft with modern personalisation—perfect for birthdays, holidays, or everyday expressions of joy.

Fan Silhouette That Balances Form and Space

The bag’s wide fan shape offers both aesthetic flair and practical structure. Its curved body creates an elegant profile while providing generous interior space for essentials. The flat base keeps it upright when resting, and the angled sides give it a flattering silhouette. This format suits everything from beach days and brunches to casual strolls and shopping trips.

Custom Name Embroidery That Feels Personal

What sets the Chada Straw Personalised Bag apart is the bold embroidered name stitched across the front. Using bright coloured thread, artisans hand-stitch up to nine letters in a curved design that matches the bag’s fan shape. This custom touch turns the bag into a personal keepsake—whether it’s your name, a loved one’s, or a meaningful word. It adds personality, ownership, and joy in every stitch.

Playful Floral Appliqués and Ribbon Trim

In addition to the custom name, the bag is adorned with stitched floral appliqués in shades of white, pink, yellow, and orange. These flowers are hand-applied across the lower half of the bag, while a pink floral ribbon runs along the top edge, creating a framed, decorative border. These details make the design feel festive and special, ideal for celebratory gifting or simply embracing everyday colour.

What ‘Chada’ Means in Thai

‘Chada’ (ชฎา) refers to a traditional Thai headdress worn in classical dance and royal ceremony. It symbolises grace, attention to detail, and cultural pride. The Chada Straw Personalised Bag borrows that spirit—combining ornate decoration with confident structure and hand-finished craft. Just like the headdress, this bag celebrates identity and beauty in a way that feels ceremonial yet wearable.

Handwoven Straw for Everyday Use

Made from natural water hyacinth straw, the bag’s base is strong, flexible, and lightweight. Artisans weave each piece by hand in northern Thailand using traditional techniques, ensuring that the structure remains firm without being rigid. The result is a bag you can use regularly without losing its shape or comfort. It holds everyday items like a phone, small wallet, sunglasses, or gifts—while still keeping the focus on style.

Braided Straw Handles for Soft Grip

Twin handles made from thick braided straw extend from the top of the bag, offering a natural grip that feels soft and durable. These handles arch comfortably over the arm or can be carried by hand. Their straw material matches the body of the bag, creating a cohesive look that blends colour, texture, and proportion without distraction.

A Fun, Thoughtful Gift for Any Occasion

The Chada Straw Personalised Bag is an easy winner when it comes to gifting. Its bright colours, floral details, and name embroidery make it feel personal and celebratory. Whether it’s a birthday surprise, bridesmaid gift, Mother’s Day treat, or holiday present, this bag carries meaning and emotion. It’s a joyful alternative to impersonal accessories, and customers love how it instantly becomes someone’s favourite.

Great for Outings, Travel and Light Errands

Thanks to its roomy size and structured shape, this bag fits well into weekend travel, local markets, or day trips. It holds just enough to be practical while remaining light and comfortable to carry. The wide opening makes it easy to reach in and grab items, and the upright body ensures it never looks sloppy. It’s the perfect mix of form and function.

Made by Artisans in Northern Thailand

Each bag is handwoven and embroidered by women artisans in Phayao, Chiang Mai, and surrounding areas. These women work from home or in small village teams, combining traditional weaving methods with decorative hand-finishing. Our team ensures every piece meets quality standards while allowing space for individual creativity. Every Chada Straw Personalised Bag supports real artisans and keeps regional Thai craft alive.

Custom Colours and Embellishment Options Available

While the standard version comes with pink floral trim and multicoloured flowers, we offer customisation options for names, colours, and layout. You can request a different embroidery shade, a shorter or longer name, or variations in the flower arrangement. Bespoke orders require 14–21 days for production and may include a small surcharge. We’re happy to work with you to create a piece that feels exactly right.

Eco-Friendly and Built to Last

Water hyacinth straw is a biodegradable, renewable resource harvested in Thailand. It’s non-toxic, durable, and naturally breathable. We avoid synthetic linings or plastic components in this design to keep it environmentally responsible. With proper care, your Chada Straw Personalised Bag will remain strong, stylish, and sustainable for many seasons to come.

Pairs Perfectly with Colourful Outfits

The floral detailing and name embroidery make this bag a standout accent to any outfit. Pair it with sundresses, pastel tones, bold prints, or even denim and white tees. Its handmade energy complements playful styling and feels right at home in sunny, celebratory settings. Whether you’re dressing for a garden party or a laid-back afternoon, this bag lifts your look.

Part of Our Personalised Straw Bag Collection

The Chada Straw Personalised Bag is part of our growing Personalised Straw Bags collection—handwoven accessories customised with names, initials, and decorative flourishes. Each piece is made to order and finished with care. If you enjoy meaningful details, floral accents, and personalised gifts, this collection has plenty more to explore.

Care Instructions for Long-Lasting Beauty

To preserve your bag’s condition, store it in a cool, dry area when not in use. Avoid soaking the straw or placing it in humid spaces. Clean gently with a dry cloth, and handle embroidered areas with care. If storing long-term, stuff it with fabric or paper to retain its shape. With proper attention, the Chada Straw Personalised Bag stays bright and beautiful through every season.

EMS Thailand World Airfreight Shipping

All Chada Straw Personalised Bag orders are shipped from our main hub in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand using EMS Thailand World Airfreight. This international shipping service is reliable, fast, and fully trackable, with delivery available in over 200 countries. Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll send a tracking number directly to your email. Shipping time begins after dispatch and does not include the production time required for custom designs.

Delivery Timeframes by Region

EMS Thailand World Airfreight typically delivers within one to three business days across Thailand. For Asia-Pacific destinations, delivery generally takes three to five business days. European and UK customers can expect their orders in four to nine business days, while North American deliveries usually arrive within five to seven days. For Oceania, delivery takes about four to six business days, and South American shipments take roughly nine to eleven days. Your national postal service completes the final stage of delivery after EMS transfers the parcel.

Production Timelines for Personalised Orders

Custom versions of the Chada Bag, including name embroidery, colour selection, and lining requests, require fourteen to twenty-one days for production. These bags are handmade by experienced women artisans located in Phayao, Chiang Mai, Phatthalung, and Nakhon Si Thammarat using traditional weaving techniques. Orders that do not require personalisation are typically dispatched within three business days of confirmation.

Quality Control and Protective Packaging

Every Chada Bag is carefully inspected before dispatch. We check the weave structure, stitching, embroidery details, and overall construction. Each item is photographed and video recorded to verify condition. Once approved, the bag is placed inside a white cotton drawstring pouch and boxed using secure airfreight packaging to ensure safe delivery, preserving both shape and craftsmanship during transit.

Fair EMS-Based Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are calculated using EMS Thailand’s flat-rate pricing for parcels up to one kilogram. This means multiple bags can often be shipped for the same price. We do not include shipping charges in the product price. Instead, the EMS rate is shown separately at checkout for clarity and full cost transparency.

Customs, Import Duties, and Delivery Process

Most international parcels arrive without customs fees. However, depending on local laws, your country may charge import taxes or duties. These fees are the customer’s responsibility. Once EMS completes the international leg of the journey, your national postal carrier handles final delivery. If any delays or customs issues arise, our support team is available to help with tracking updates or guidance.

Returns for Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your Chada Straw Personalised Bag arrives damaged or with a confirmed defect, contact us within forty-eight hours of delivery. We offer a fourteen-day return policy for faulty or incorrect orders. Refunds apply to the product price only. Original shipping charges are refunded only if the item is verified to be faulty. Returns must be sent via tracked airfreight to our Nakhon Sawan hub for inspection.

Return Conditions and Refund Process

To qualify for a refund, returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and securely repacked. Personalised bags are non-returnable unless a fault is confirmed. Once we receive and inspect the return, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. Returns received in damaged condition or without tracking may not qualify for a full refund.

Tracking and Delivery Support

You will receive an EMS Thailand tracking number by email once your parcel is dispatched. Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery status. If there are any issues during customs processing or local handover, our team is ready to assist with tracking updates and next-step instructions.

Handled with the Same Care as It’s Made

The Chada Straw Personalised Bag is crafted with intention and care by Thai artisans who take pride in their work. That same attention continues through our shipping process. From inspection to secure packaging and international delivery, we treat every parcel with the same respect given to the bag itself, ensuring it reaches you in perfect condition, ready to gift or enjoy.

Phayao Leads Our Water Hyacinth Bag Production

The Chantana Woven Straw Bag is handmade by Thai women working within The Straw Bag Company’s structured artisan production network. Our main harvesting and weaving hub is in Phayao, northern Thailand, where water hyacinth straw is locally sourced and processed by hand. More than 30 full-time female artisans are based in this region. They meet daily in group-based environments to weave, collaborate, and fulfil active customer orders. Their work ensures the quality and consistency of each water hyacinth bag in our collection.

Seagrass Weaving and Finishing in Regional Teams

While Phayao handles hyacinth production, other regions including Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Phatthalung specialise in weaving with local seagrass, known as krajood. Once woven, these bags are sent to Chiang Mai where experienced women complete the hand-stitching and detailing in small village-based workgroups. Across the country, we currently employ over 80 staff. This includes harvesting teams, weavers, finishers, logistics staff, and regional coordinators who manage local production.

Time-Based Pay and Flexible Scheduling

Our model is designed to support real women with real responsibilities. Many of our artisans are mothers, caregivers, or elder community members. They work either from home or in small team settings within their own villages. Artisans are paid based on time worked, not per item. This ensures fair and consistent income without pressure to produce at speed. It also allows them to manage childcare, family duties, and community roles without sacrificing earnings or quality.

Community Reinvestment at the Centre of Our Model

Fifteen percent of all company profits are reinvested directly into the communities that produce our bags. These funds are used for specific, practical support. If an artisan cannot afford material costs to begin a new order, we provide upfront assistance. For families with children, we help cover school transport, supplies, and uniforms. In times of personal or family hardship, local team leaders can coordinate short-term help to prevent disruptions to work. We also fund school leaver training programmes, pairing younger women with senior artisans in their villages to learn weaving and embroidery techniques in a paid, structured format.

Working Alongside Thailand’s National Development Goals

The Straw Bag Company proudly supports the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) initiative, which promotes rural entrepreneurship and cultural preservation through craft. We also contribute to the wider vision of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Our continued support for the TAT News platform and the Amazing Thailand campaign reflects our belief in building sustainable economic opportunities through community-led production.

Crafted With Care, Built on Respect

The Chantana Woven Straw Bag reflects everything our model stands for. It is handmade using traditional techniques. It is woven by women earning fair wages in their own communities. It contributes to local livelihoods and generational skill preservation. Each purchase directly supports rural jobs, ethical production, and the long-term survival of Thai weaving heritage.
